As usual with Stuffed fables Paul Gestwicki’s Blog is a great example of how the miniatures of this game can be painted, and I usually aim for something similar. Especially on this character the level of detail Paul achieves in his miniature painting is amazing!
On this character I started with «Mutant hue» on the cap, «Centaur skin» on the eraser, and «Daemonic Yellow» on the pencil and base. Unfortunately I did not take note of which type of metallic gold I used on the eraser fastening on the pencil, but it was probably «Bright gold».
Eraser | Centaur skin |
Cap | Mutant hue |
Base and pencil | Daemonic yellow |
Eraser fastening | Bright gold (probably) |
I’m very happy with the pencil at this stage. But there is a lot more to paint!
Wash | Strong tone |
Belt | Leather brown |
Left eye | Jungle green |
Wood on sharpened end of pencil | Troll claws |
Pouch | Army green |
Cape | Dragon red |
Body | Basilisk brown |
Cape buckle | Bright gold |
Pencil lead | Dark stone |
Light dry brush on body | Babe blonde |
Right eye, upper belt buckle | Voidshield blue |
Lower belt buckle | Mars red |
«Dragon red» washed with «Strong tone» and dry brushed with «Mars red» (next step) is probably my favorite combination for capes.
Right glove and body details | Corpse pale |
Cape dry brush | Mars red |
